Some men feel that having sex without a condom is better than having sex with a condom, so many men avoid using it. For some people, it is nothing more than a hindrance. They feel more emotional intimacy in relationships by having sex without a condom, perhaps because sex without a condom is generally more frequent in serious couples in long-term relationships.
You don’t have to wear condoms if you don’t want to. But if your partner(s) wants to use them, and this is something you’re not going to budge on, it may be that you just won’t have sex with your partner because you can’t compromise on your views. Having sex without protection is risky. You're risking pregnancy, getting a sexually transmitted infection (STI), including HIV, and possibly stress. Unprotected sex is any sex without contraception or a condom. You may have forgotten to use contraception, or it may not have worked.
Remember that safe sex is the only way to prevent unwanted pregnancy and infection from sexual contact. Oral contraceptives and other forms of birth control, ie, contraceptive injections or intrauterine devices only protect against pregnancy but only condoms protect from HPV, Chlamydia, Herpes, HIV, Syphilis or other such sexual infections.
